Cabins Northwest Inc. is a full service authorized dealer for Daniel Boone Log Homes. We strive to accommodate our customers with a wide range of services that will expedite your process and allow you to enjoy watching your dreams come true. We specialize in assisting our customers in long distance moves and planning by searching our data bases for properties not listed in the MLS or on the open market. This allows you to get the choice properties without competing against the other real estate buyers thus saving money and allowing time for negotiations. This is just one of the many services we gladly offer to our customers. Just call or email to find out if we can assist you in your move and new home project.

Custom Log Home Planning and Modifications to Existing Plans

Daniel Boone Log Homes offers you a fully integrated service to meet your personal needs. We can help with custom log home planning, custom floor plans, job site evaluation, financing information and a network of independent contractors across the Inland Northwest to build your dream log home. We can build your dry-in so you can do the finish work or take your home to turn-key. Cabins Northwest is committed to going the extra mile for our customers. We represent the most complete package in the industry. Unlike the competition, we include the floor systems and roof systems, with three choices of roof systems at no up-charge. With floor systems and roof systems included, we still beat the competition on square footage package cost. When you buy the best, you deserve the commitment and follow-through to make your custom dream log home a reality. Unlike many of the other log home dealers, we actually live in a log home and did a great deal of the work ourselves. We also designed many of the special features showcased in our home. We started our home as a pre-packaged plan but upon seeing the progression of construction, we quickly augmented our plan to become a totally customized plan and this is something that is common with owner/builder projects. Our packages are easily customized but we can also design and engineer designs of your choice from scratch.

I think you will find our website most helpful in selecting, planning, and learning about the many options available to you, our friends and customers.

The Heart of the Matter

Daniel Boone Log Homes are made of  Eastern White Pine. This preferred wood comes from large-diameter logs harvested in Boone, North Carolina.. First, lumber is cut from the outer sections of the log (the sapwood), leaving the boxed heart center -- the most stable part of the tree. These heart logs are then slowly kiln-dried to a top temperature of 180 degrees, over a period of three weeks, to kill all insect larvae and reduce moisture content to below 19%,  before being milled. This process allows us to produce truly outstanding homes that age gracefully with minimal settling. In most cases, with proper construction technique, settling is no more than a typical stick-built home
